Melting is done over a water bath or in a dedicated melter at roughly 60-70 degrees Celsius, without letting the mass boil, since overheating breaks down some active components and causes surface bubbling on the finished bar. Fragrance blends, essential and cosmetic oils, botanical extracts, and colorants are added once the temperature drops to around 50-55 degrees, which preserves volatile fragrance fractions and prevents the oil phase from separating. Solid inclusions such as ground coffee, salt, clay, or activated charcoal are stirred in right before pouring so particles distribute evenly through the mold.

Additive dosage typically stays within 5-7 percent of the melted base weight for liquid oils and extracts, and up to 3 percent for essential oils, to avoid weakening the set structure or the firmness of the bar. With a large package like this, it's practical to melt the base in 1-3 kg portions as needed, keeping the remaining blocks sealed until the next production run, which saves time and reduces the risk of overheating the whole batch at once.

Store the base in a dry area at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, in its original packaging or a tightly sealed container to prevent it from absorbing outside odors or developing a dry surface skin. Charcoal Detox Soap Bars

Cut the base into cubes and melt it over a water bath until fully liquid, keeping the temperature from reaching a boil. Once the mass cools to about 55 degrees, stir in the jojoba oil and activated charcoal powder until the color is even throughout. Add the tea tree oil and fragrance, mix thoroughly, then pour into molds of 90-100 g and let the bars set at room temperature for two to three hours until fully firm.
