Nerium oleander Essential Oil: An Exotic Floral Essence
Immerse yourself in the captivating and intensely floral aroma of Nerium oleander Essential Oil, a meticulously extracted essence from the fragrant blossoms of the Nerium oleander plant. Known for its striking beauty and potent fragrance, this essential oil offers a unique and powerful olfactory experience. Please note: Due to the inherent toxicity of the Nerium oleander plant, this essential oil is strictly intended for aromatic use in cosmetic applications and should NEVER be ingested or applied undiluted directly to the skin. Its powerful fragrance can be incorporated into cosmetic formulations to impart an exotic and long-lasting floral scent.
Aromatic Applications and Areas of Use in Cosmetics (For Fragrance Only):
Given the toxicity of the Nerium oleander plant, the essential oil's use in cosmetics is strictly limited to its aromatic properties:
Perfumery and Fine Fragrance (Aromatic Component Only): Utilize as a potent and exotic floral note in perfume compositions, eau de parfums, and solid perfumes. Its intense floral character can add a unique and long-lasting dimension to fragrance blends. Due to its strength, it should be used sparingly and always diluted within a fragrance base.
Scenting Cosmetic Bases (Aromatic Component Only): Add minute amounts to unscented cosmetic bases like lotions, creams, and body washes to impart a powerful and exotic floral fragrance. Extreme caution and very low concentrations are crucial.
Hair Perfumes and Mists (Aromatic Component Only): Incorporate in hair perfumes and mists to provide a long-lasting and intense floral scent to the hair. Again, use sparingly and ensure thorough dilution.
Potpourri and Scent Sachets (Aromatic Component Only): While technically bordering on non-cosmetic, the scent can inspire the fragrance profile for such items intended for scenting environments, indirectly influencing the aromatic experience associated with personal care.
Aromatic Accords in Soap Making (Aromatic Component Only): Use in small, carefully measured amounts to contribute a powerful floral note to the fragrance profile of handmade soaps.
Key Advantages for Cosmetic Formulations (Aromatic Use Only):
Intense and Exotic Floral Aroma: Offers a powerful, sweet, and unique floral fragrance that can create distinctive scent profiles.
Long-Lasting Scent: Its aromatic compounds are often persistent, providing a lasting fragrance to cosmetic products.
Unique Olfactory Profile: Can add an unusual and memorable floral note to fragrance blends, setting products apart.
Global Delivery: Our online store facilitates shipping to customers worldwide.
Cosmetic Recipe: Aromatic Room and Linen Spray (Strictly for Scenting, Not for Direct Skin Application)
Warning: This recipe is for creating a room and linen spray for aromatic purposes only. It is NOT intended for direct skin application due to the toxicity of Nerium oleander.
Ingredient
Quantity (by volume)
Distilled Water
95 ml
Witch Hazel (Alcohol-Free)
4 ml
Nerium oleander Essential Oil
< 1 ml (VERY small amount, start with 1-2 drops)
Polysorbate 20 (Solubilizer)
1 ml
Instructions:
In a clean glass bottle with a spray nozzle, combine the distilled water and witch hazel.
In a separate small container, carefully add an extremely small amount (start with 1-2 drops) of Nerium oleander Essential Oil to the Polysorbate 20. Stir gently until the essential oil is fully dissolved. Polysorbate 20 helps to disperse the oil evenly in the water-based mixture.
Slowly add the essential oil-polysorbate 20 mixture to the water and witch hazel, stirring gently.
Shake well before each use.
Application Recommendations (Aromatic Use Only):
Strictly for scenting rooms and linens. Spray lightly into the air or onto fabrics from a distance.
Do not spray directly onto skin or ingest.
Use in a well-ventilated area.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
If any adverse reaction occurs (though unlikely with proper aromatic use), discontinue use immediately.
This recipe is solely for aromatic purposes and highlights how the scent of Nerium oleander Essential Oil might inspire the fragrance of cosmetic products, but the oil itself is not safe for direct skin application.

Purpose
Nerium oleander essential oil is used in cosmetics, aromatherapy and perfumery, especially in niche and oriental fragrances. Due to the content of complex glycosides and alkaloids in the original plant, the oil requires a special approach to dosage and should always be used in a highly diluted form. In cosmetics - as a component of anti-aging and soothing formulas, improving skin tone and enhancing its radiance. In aromatherapy - as a component for creating a relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. In perfumery - as a rare white floral heart note in powdery-oriental compositions.
Floral, soft, with honey and slightly almond notes. The aroma is delicate, with a powdery trail, persistent, but not harsh. It has a deep, slightly sweet character, reminiscent of a combination of jasmine, almond and white flowers. Combines with sandalwood, ylang-ylang, lavender, neroli, rose, jasmine, vanilla oils.
