Product Description
Nasturtium Glycolic Extract botanical functional ingredient for multi industry formulation systems
Nasturtium Glycolic Extract is a botanical raw material obtained through glycol extraction of Tropaeolum majus, preserving active plant compounds. This functional ingredient is widely used in formulation as a versatile plant based component compatible with water based and emulsion systems. It works effectively with Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer and emulsifiers such as Olivem 1000, Montanov 68 and Emulsifying Wax NF. Global demand is driven by Food and Beverage, functional drinks, botanical products, supplements, fragrance systems, cleaning and contract manufacturing. In formulation it acts as a functional botanical ingredient.
Properties and functional role in formulation
The extract functions as an active botanical ingredient influencing formulation stability. In water systems it disperses evenly with Xanthan Gum or Hydroxyethylcellulose. In emulsions it is incorporated into the water phase and stabilized with Olivem 1000 or Montanov 68. It is compatible with Euxyl PE 9010, Geogard 221, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate. In formulation it improves distribution and system stability.
Properties and result in final product
In finished products the extract improves structure and distribution. In liquid systems it enhances uniformity, in emulsions it supports stable texture. In hair care it improves distribution. In complex formulations it enhances storage stability.
Application
The extract is used across industries. In Food and Beverage it is applied in functional drinks. In flavor systems it is used as a plant component. In cosmetics it is used in skin and hair care. In hair care it is used in shampoos based on Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate. In SPA it is used in botanical systems. In cleaning it is used in specialized formulations. In pharmaceutical and supplement sectors it is used in botanical complexes. In fragrance industry it is used as a supporting ingredient. In private label it is widely used.
Recipe
Functional botanical toner with nasturtium extract
Purified water — 750 ml
Nasturtium glycolic extract — 80 ml
Glycerin — 50 ml
Panthenol — 20 ml
Hydroxyethylcellulose — 3 g
Euxyl PE 9010 — 5 ml
pH adjuster — 2 ml
Water phase is combined with Hydroxyethylcellulose with dispersion until gel formation, followed by glycerin mixing. The extract is then added with uniform mixing. Panthenol is incorporated. Euxyl PE 9010 is added at cooling stage. The system is homogenized and stabilized at room temperature.
Production stability and scaling
The extract demonstrates stable performance during scale up and ensures reproducibility. Process parameters must be controlled. It integrates easily into B2B manufacturing systems.
