Tea rose oil plant based carrier oil for lipid systems and multi application formulations
Tea rose oil is a plant derived carrier oil obtained by transferring rose plant components into a lipid medium, resulting in a stable oil phase suitable for formulation use. It is applied in food related systems, nutraceutical blends, cosmetic formulations, SPA applications and industrial processes where a balanced and predictable lipid base is required.
In formulation practice, tea rose oil serves as a transport medium for oil soluble ingredients and contributes to the formation of a uniform lipid phase. It supports compatibility between components and enables consistent dispersion within multi component systems. Unlike concentrated aromatic materials, this oil functions primarily as a structural base rather than a dominant fragrance source, making it suitable for bulk formulation design.
In food oriented applications, tea rose oil can be used in flavored oil blends and processing bases where compliance with raw material standards is ensured. In nutraceutical systems, it acts as a lipid carrier for oil compatible compounds. In cosmetic formulations, it is incorporated into creams, emulsions, oil serums and hair care products where it contributes to texture and ingredient distribution. In SPA formulations, it is used in massage blends and treatment oils. In candle and aroma systems, it can serve as a supporting oil phase for fragrance dispersion. In industrial environments, it is used as a plant based lipid component in process formulations requiring stable oil systems.
Functionally, tea rose oil operates as both a transport and structural medium within lipid systems. It helps regulate flow properties, maintains uniform distribution of components and supports system stability. In emulsions, it contributes to the formation of a balanced oil phase, while in oil based systems it ensures consistency and compatibility.
In formulation, tea rose oil is introduced into the oil phase and blended with other lipid components. It is compatible with emulsifiers, waxes, active ingredients and additional plant oils. It remains stable under standard processing temperatures and can be used as a primary base or as part of a blended oil composition.
Usage level is defined by formulation requirements and adjusted by the formulator depending on the intended application and performance targets.
Example formulation: Lightweight plant oil emulsion
Purified water 60 ml
Tea rose oil 20 g
Grape seed oil 12 g
Olivem 1000 emulsifier 6 g
Cetyl alcohol 3 g
Glycerin 4 g
Preservative 1 g
Vitamin E 1 g
Process: oil phase ingredients are heated until uniform, while the water phase is prepared separately. The phases are combined and emulsified to form a stable system. During cooling, glycerin, vitamin E and preservative are incorporated. The mixture is processed until homogeneous and filled.
Example formulation: Multi oil serum base
Tea rose oil 25 g
Jojoba oil 20 g
Squalane 7 g
Calendula oil extract 3 g
Vitamin E 1 g
Process: all oil components are blended under controlled mixing until a uniform system is achieved. Vitamin E is added to support stability. The blend is conditioned to ensure even distribution and then filled.
Tea rose oil is used as a versatile carrier oil in formulation systems requiring stability, compatibility and controlled lipid phase behavior across cosmetic, nutraceutical and industrial applications.
