Bulk Coconut Concentrate for Industrial Formulations
Coconut CO2 extract in a 1 kg pack belongs to the CO2 Extracts category, which brings together concentrates produced through supercritical carbon dioxide extraction without solvents or high heat exposure. This gentle process preserves the natural fatty acid profile of coconut, including lauric acid, known for its nourishing and softening effect on skin. The 1 kg size is aimed at manufacturers running larger batches - full-cycle cosmetic producers, fragrance labs and food processing facilities that need consistent quality and reliable supply across production cycles.
The primary application of coconut CO2 extract is in skin and hair care: body and face creams, balms, after-sun oils, hair and scalp strengthening formulas. The extract restores the lipid barrier, leaves skin visibly smoother, and functions as a natural emollient across emulsion types, from light lotions to dense oil-based balms. Beyond skincare, it also finds a place in color cosmetics as a component of lip balm and lipstick bases, contributing both a soft coconut scent and improved texture.
A second major field of use is fragrance and aroma production. Coconut CO2 extract is a popular building block for summer, gourmand and tropical fragrance compositions, as well as for candle and home care scenting. In the food industry it is used in small amounts within confectionery, desserts, beverages and baked goods as a natural flavoring with a recognizable coconut character.
The extract pairs well with other concentrates from the CO2 line: in anti-aging formulations it is often combined with Rosehip CO2 Extract, which reinforces the regenerating profile of the recipe. For antioxidant-focused products, adding Pomegranate CO2 Extract is a common choice, while in warming and massage blends coconut extract frequently serves as a softening carrier for the more active Red Pepper CO2 Extract, helping to reduce its irritating potential on skin.
Recommended dosage ranges from 0.5 to 3 percent of the total formula weight, depending on the desired aroma strength and texturizing effect. It is best introduced at the final production stage, at a temperature not exceeding 40-45 degrees Celsius, to protect volatile compounds and nutritional value. The extract remains stable at room temperature, but for long-term storage of a bulk pack a cool, dark place and airtight resealing after each use are recommended to prevent oxidation.
