A Botanical Ingredient Behind Brightening and Toning Skincare Formulas
Daisy extract in a 100 ml bottle is widely used in the production of skincare for sensitive skin, as well as in brightening and toning formulations. The daisy flower has long been valued for its ability to even out skin tone and refresh the complexion, which is why concentrated extracts from this plant are commonly found in creams, serums, toners, and facial emulsions. This ingredient belongs to the category of Liquid Extracts, which brings together water-alcohol-glycerin plant extracts with a wide range of effects, suitable for home workshops and small cosmetic laboratories alike.
The 100 ml size is well suited for home-based cosmetic making and trial batches, providing enough material for dozens of serum or toner bottles to test a formulation before scaling up production. Daisy extract should be added during the cool-down phase, at temperatures up to around 40 degrees Celsius, after emulsification, in order to preserve the activity of the plant compounds. A typical dosage ranges from 2 to 5 percent of the total formula weight, depending on the desired intensity of effect.
In formulations, this extract blends well with other botanical extracts, allowing formulators to build multi-component complexes with targeted action. Combined with Calendula Extract, it creates a gentle soothing composition suitable for sensitive skin, while adding Mother and Stepmother Extract enhances the toning properties of the product. For formulas focused on strengthening capillaries and reducing redness, a combination with Yarrow extract is often used.
Beyond facial care, daisy extract is applied in hair and scalp products, where it supports the balance of sebum production, as well as in select plant-based household chemical formulations. It is occasionally included in soap recipes as a supplementary botanical component, though this remains a minor use case rather than the primary application of the ingredient. Store the extract in a tightly sealed container, in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat sources, at room temperature not exceeding 25 degrees Celsius; after opening, the shelf life is typically several months.
When working with this extract, it is important to check compatibility with the emulsifiers and preservatives used in a specific formula, and to run a small trial batch before committing to larger scale production.
