Instructions for Preparing "Timeless Bloom" Anti-Aging Face Cream:

  1. Sanitize: Thoroughly sanitize all equipment, utensils, and containers using isopropyl alcohol. Allow them to air dry completely.

  2. Prepare Phases A & B: In separate heat-resistant beakers, weigh out the ingredients for Phase A (Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Emulsifying Wax) and Phase B (Distilled Water, Rose Hydrosol, Glycerin).

  3. Heat Phases: Gently heat both Phase A and Phase B in a double boiler or microwave until Phase A is fully melted and both phases reach approximately 70-75°C (160-167°F).

  4. Emulsify: Slowly pour Phase B into Phase A, while continuously mixing with a stick blender or whisk on medium-high speed. Continue blending for 2-3 minutes to ensure a stable emulsion forms.

  5. Cool Down: Transfer the beaker to an ice bath or cool water bath and continue to mix occasionally until the cream cools down to below 40°C (104°F). The cream will thicken as it cools.

  6. Add Cool-Down Phase (C): Once the cream is below 40°C, add the Iris Essential Oil, Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid solution, and the preservative. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the cream is smooth.

  7. Check pH (Recommended): Test the pH of the finished cream. For facial creams, an optimal pH range is typically 5.0-6.0. Adjust if necessary using a diluted solution of lactic acid (to lower) or baking soda (to raise).

  8. Package: Transfer the finished cream into a clean, sanitized jar or airless pump bottle.

Recommendations for Application:

  • Dosage: The 0.1% dosage of Iris Essential Oil provides a beautiful, subtle fragrance and active benefits without overpowering the cream. Adhere to the recommended dosage range of 0.05-0.2% for creams and serums.

  • Temperature Sensitivity: It is crucial to add Iris Essential Oil only during the cool-down phase (below 40°C / 104°F) to preserve its delicate aromatic compounds and therapeutic properties.

  • Solubility: Iris Essential Oil is soluble in oil, alcohol, and ether, making it easy to incorporate into various formulations during the appropriate phase.

  • Storage: Store the finished cream in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to maintain its stability and efficacy. The preservative will ensure a standard shelf life, typically 6-12 months.

  • Usage: Apply a small amount of the cream to a clean face and neck daily, in the morning and evening, after cleansing and toning. Gently massage into the skin until fully absorbed.

  • Patch Test: Always perform a patch test on a small area of skin (e.g., inner forearm) before applying a new product to your entire face, especially if you have sensitive skin.
