Hydroxyethylcellulose is dispersed in purified water under continuous mixing until a uniform gel base forms. In a separate vessel propanediol and glycerin are blended and the HotFlux complex is incorporated until evenly distributed. The mixture is added into the gel base and mixed until homogeneous. Niacinamide, panthenol and hydrolyzed silk protein are then incorporated and thoroughly mixed. Finally the preservative system is added and pH is adjusted to a stable range suitable for gel formulations. The final product is a clear scalp serum with smooth texture.
