Product Description
Grapefruit Glycolic Extract Functional Botanical Ingredient for Industrial Applications
Grapefruit glycolic extract is a botanical extract derived from Citrus paradisi using glycol extraction and used as a functional ingredient in various industrial systems. It integrates into water based and hybrid formulation systems as an active or supporting component ensuring stable distribution and compatibility. It is widely used in food production, cosmetics, fragrance and contract manufacturing. The extract can act as an intermediate raw material for concentrates and complex systems. It demonstrates stable processing behavior and scalability.
Functional properties and role in formulation
The extract functions as a botanical functional ingredient distributed in aqueous systems interacting with hydrophilic components. It influences homogeneity and structural stability while contributing to rheological properties. Proper dispersion ensures uniform distribution. It is compatible with polymers and stabilizers and used as a base for complex extract systems.
Properties and effect on final product
In finished products it supports uniform texture and stable structure. In liquid systems it maintains clarity. In gels and emulsions it ensures stability. In food systems it contributes to plant based profiles. In SPA and fragrance applications it enhances formulation complexity. In cleaning systems it supports natural positioning. Provides stable performance under controlled conditions.
Application
Grapefruit glycolic extract is used across industries. In Food & Beverage it is applied in functional beverages and flavor systems. In cosmetics it is used in skincare and hair care. In SPA and aromatherapy it is used in solutions. In cleaning it is used in natural formulations. In pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries it is used as botanical raw material. Recipe Grapefruit Cleansing Gel System
Grapefruit glycolic extract — 60 ml
Orange hydrolate — 400 ml
Carbomer — 5 g
Glycerin — 25 ml
Neutralizer — 3 ml
The process starts with carbomer dispersion in the aqueous phase under continuous mixing until full hydration. Glycerin is added with mixing to stabilize the system. Hydrolate is incorporated to form the base. At temperatures below 30 degrees the grapefruit extract is introduced with uniform mixing. Neutralization is performed to create gel structure. Final mixing ensures stabilization and results in a uniform cleansing gel.
Manufacturing stability and scalability
The extract is stable under controlled storage conditions. It is easily scalable in industrial production. Provides batch consistency and is widely used as a versatile botanical ingredient in B2B manufacturing.
