EnhanceU-S mineral UV filter complex based on zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for formulation and protective systems
EnhanceU-S is an inorganic filtering system built on a combination of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide particles, designed for incorporation into formulations where physical interaction with ultraviolet radiation is required. This mineral complex is used in sun care products, emulsified systems, protective coatings and various production applications where stable performance of a dispersed solid phase is essential.
From a technical standpoint, EnhanceU-S functions as a particulate system that must be uniformly distributed within the formulation base to achieve consistent performance. The combination of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide provides complementary optical behavior, enabling broader interaction with incoming radiation. Within the formulation, it operates as a solid dispersed phase that requires proper stabilization and controlled dispersion to prevent particle clustering.
In cosmetic applications, EnhanceU-S is used in creams, lotions, emulsions and fluid systems where it contributes to forming a continuous protective layer. In industrial contexts, it may be incorporated into coatings and materials designed to reduce UV exposure. Within formulation systems, it can also act as a mineral filler, influencing density and optical characteristics. In SPA-oriented products, it is included in formulations intended for external protective use.
The functional mechanism of EnhanceU-S is based on physical interaction between mineral particles and radiation. The particles reflect and scatter light, reducing its intensity at the surface. This process does not rely on chemical absorption but on the inherent properties of the mineral components. Uniform particle distribution is critical to ensure consistent system behavior.
In formulation practice, EnhanceU-S is typically introduced into the oil phase or pre-dispersed in a suitable carrier before incorporation into the main system. It is compatible with oils, emulsifiers, waxes and silicone-based materials. High-shear mixing or specialized dispersion techniques are recommended to achieve a stable and uniform system.
Usage level is defined by technical specifications and adjusted by the formulator according to product requirements and target performance.
Example formulation: Mineral-based protective emulsion
Purified water 52 ml
EnhanceU-S 18 g
C12-15 alkyl benzoate 12 g
Shea butter 6 g
Glyceryl stearate 5 g
Cetyl alcohol 3 g
Glycerin 3 g
Preservative 1 g
pH adjuster 2 ml
Process: the oil phase containing EnhanceU-S is pre-dispersed until uniform. The water phase is prepared separately. Both phases are heated and combined under controlled mixing to form an emulsion. During cooling, glycerin and preservative are added, followed by pH adjustment. The formulation is mixed until stable and homogeneous before filling.
EnhanceU-S is used in systems where physical UV shielding and stable mineral dispersion are required. It supports consistent formulation performance across cosmetic and industrial protective applications.
