Product Description
Cordyceps Sinensis Extract Powder Chinese Cordyceps extract for cosmetic and functional formulations
Cordyceps Sinensis Extract Powder is a dry botanical extract obtained from Cordyceps sinensis mushroom material through extraction followed by drying. The ingredient appears as a fine powder with light beige to cream color and characteristic mild mushroom aroma. Powder format provides ingredient stability and allows precise dosing during formulation development.
The extract disperses well in water and water glycol systems which makes it suitable for aqueous cosmetic formulations. It distributes evenly within gels, serums and emulsions. Due to its compatibility with different formulation structures the ingredient can be used together with botanical extracts, amino acids and functional cosmetic ingredients.
Properties and skin performance
Within cosmetic formulations the extract distributes evenly throughout the aqueous phase and contributes to smooth product texture. Finished formulations show uniform consistency and soft sensory characteristics.
Products containing the extract spread easily across the skin and create a comfortable cosmetic finish. The ingredient is commonly used in formulations designed to support fresh looking skin appearance.
Industry applications
Cordyceps extract is used in facial creams, cosmetic serums, gels and lotions. The ingredient is applied in skincare products, functional cosmetic lines and SPA formulations.
The powder extract is also used in functional beverages, dietary supplements and nutraceutical formulations. In formulation practice the ingredient is incorporated into the aqueous phase where it disperses evenly throughout the system.
Cordyceps Sinensis Extract Powder is widely used in formulation laboratories, private label development and contract manufacturing where ingredient stability and reproducibility are essential for scalable production.
Formula example
Cordyceps extract powder 5 g
Purified water 440 ml
Glycerin 65 g
Propanediol 50 g
Xanthan gum 6 g
Green tea extract 40 g
Panthenol 20 g
Xanthan gum is dispersed in purified water until a gel base forms. Glycerin and propanediol are then incorporated with continuous mixing. Cordyceps extract powder is pre dispersed in a small portion of warm water and introduced into the gel system. Green tea extract and panthenol are added afterwards. The pH of the formulation is adjusted to a stable range resulting in a smooth gel texture.
