Product Description
Fig Extract Powder botanical ingredient for cosmetic formulations functional plant systems and scalable production
Fig Extract Powder is a concentrated botanical ingredient obtained from Ficus carica fruit through extraction followed by drying of the extract. The powder format preserves plant derived compounds and provides convenient handling for formulation development and industrial production. Dry format allows stable storage and precise dosing during cosmetic formulation design.
The ingredient belongs to the group of botanical extracts used as functional plant components in cosmetic formulations. The powder disperses well in aqueous and glycol based systems and can be incorporated into the water phase of cosmetic products. Fig Extract Powder is compatible with moisturizing ingredients, botanical actives and functional formulation components. Due to technological stability the ingredient is used in laboratory development as well as industrial cosmetic manufacturing.
Properties and skin performance
In cosmetic formulations Fig Extract Powder provides a soft botanical sensory profile and integrates well into plant based skincare systems. After dispersion in aqueous formulations the ingredient distributes evenly throughout the formulation matrix. In cream emulsions it contributes to balanced texture and stable formulation structure.
Industry applications
Fig Extract Powder is used in facial creams, gels, serums, masks and lotions. The ingredient is incorporated into shampoos and hair care formulations. It is used in SPA cosmetic systems and botanical skincare lines. The powder format allows application in dry cosmetic blends and powder mask systems. The material is suitable for private label development, contract manufacturing and scalable industrial cosmetic production.
Formula example botanical facial toner
Purified water 720 ml
Glycerin 50 g
Propanediol 45 g
Fig Extract Powder 10 g
Panthenol 12 g
Betaine 15 g
Niacinamide 25 g
Allantoin 3 g
Preservative system 2 g
Glycerin and propanediol are dissolved in purified water to create the aqueous base. Fig Extract Powder is dispersed in a small portion of the water phase to create a uniform suspension. The suspension is incorporated into the main formulation while mixing continuously. Niacinamide is added and mixed until fully dissolved. Panthenol, betaine and allantoin are introduced and the formulation is mixed until homogeneous. Finally the preservative system is incorporated and pH is adjusted to a stable range suitable for aqueous cosmetic formulations.
Fig Extract Powder is positioned for B2B cosmetic manufacturers, formulation laboratories and contract manufacturing facilities. The ingredient supports formulation stability, technological compatibility and reproducible industrial production.
