Sea buckthorn oil in the fight against acne
Sea buckthorn oil is one of the most valuable ingredients in homemade cosmetics. Its rich composition makes it both effective and versatile. It is most often chosen for breakout-prone skin, for tired skin showing the first signs of ageing and for evening out the skin tone.
The oil contains vitamins B6 and B2, which help the skin look clearer and calmer, while carotene and tocopherol brighten the tone and support firmness. It also moisturises, supports the skin barrier and helps the skin look less oily. No wonder sea buckthorn oil is called a golden gift of nature.
Rejuvenating mask
Mix a teaspoon of sea buckthorn oil, one egg yolk and a teaspoon of cosmetic clay, ideally yellow. Apply with a cotton pad for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
Mask for breakout-prone skin
You need 2 tablespoons of white clay, 2 tablespoons of burdock oil and a tablespoon of sea buckthorn oil. Warm the burdock oil slightly, pour it into the clay, add the sea buckthorn oil and mix well. Use it the same way as the first mask.
Mask for oily skin
For very oily skin, try a mask of pink clay and sea buckthorn oil, applied in the same way for 15 to 20 minutes. Pick the right clay for your skin type in our cosmetic clays section. For another way to keep the skin looking fresh, read about our refreshing facial mist.
FAQ
Does sea buckthorn oil stain the skin?

Which clay suits oily skin?
Pink or white clay, both cleanse gently and mattify.
How long should the mask stay on?
15 to 20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
