Mosquito repellent. At home.
Summer evenings outdoors are wonderful until the mosquitoes arrive. Shop-bought sprays often smell harsh, so many people look for a gentler alternative. A homemade aromatic spray with essential oils is easy to make, and its scent is pleasant for you and your family.
Scents mosquitoes dislike
Insects tend to avoid citronella, lemongrass, lavender, eucalyptus, clove and tea tree. These essential oils can be blended to create your own bouquet. Just do not overdo the amount, because concentrated oils can irritate the skin.
Aromatic spray recipe
Mix fifty millilitres of lavender or mint hydrosol, a tablespoon of alcohol or witch hazel and twenty drops of essential oils. Pour the blend into a spray bottle from our containers and packaging range. Shake before each use and spray onto clothes and exposed skin, avoiding the face.
Scented candles and sachets
Citronella candles are perfect for the terrace, and sachets of dried lavender can go in the wardrobe or by the bed. These little touches make your evenings more pleasant and fill the home with a fresh scent.
