Facial tonics - perfect skin care
Face care products should match your skin type and what you want to achieve. A good quality, reasonably natural product is not easy to find in shops, whereas a homemade toner gives you full confidence in the freshness of its ingredients and the safety of what you put on your face.
Here are three toner recipes. With regular use, skin becomes clearer, fresher and nicer to the touch. Pick the one for you.
Cucumber toner for normal skin
Cucumber is full of water and trace elements and suits many skin types, and this version is especially good for normal and combination skin. You need 2 small cucumbers and 200 ml of milk. Peel the cucumbers, grate them coarsely, squeeze the juice through gauze into a glass container, add warm milk and stir. Keep in the fridge for 7-10 days. You can also simply soak a piece of cucumber in milk and wipe your face with it. For another cucumber idea, see our refreshing cucumber toner.
Green tea toner for blemish-prone skin
Green tea is a great antioxidant that calms the skin and feels lovely, while a few drops of apple cider vinegar help keep the skin clear. Brew a tablespoon of green tea with boiling water, let it steep and add a couple of drops of vinegar. Keep it in the fridge and use morning and evening. Ready hydrosols can replace the brew.
Grapefruit toner for oily skin
Mix half a glass of grapefruit juice, a tablespoon of lemon juice and a tablespoon of vodka. Pour into a glass bottle, seal tightly and leave for 2-3 days. Then wipe your face with it morning and evening. Handy bottles for toners are in our cosmetic bottles range.
