Solaveil CZ-300: incorporating a zinc oxide dispersion into SPF formulations
A dispersion rather than dry ZnO
Solaveil CZ-300 100 g is listed as a thick white-to-cream material with INCI Zinc Oxide and Triethoxycaprylylsilane. It is water-insoluble and dispersible in oils and emulsion bases, so its processing differs from raw zinc oxide powder.
Why pre-dispersion helps
A prepared mineral dispersion reduces the separate powder-wetting step, but uniform distribution, rheology and emulsion stability still need to be controlled.
Filter percentage is not an SPF claim
The percentage of UV-filter raw material does not by itself establish a finished-product SPF or UVA claim. Protection depends on the complete formula and film and must be confirmed by appropriate finished-product testing.
Formulation checks
· uniformity without streaks or agglomerates

· viscosity after full cooling
· storage stability
· pigment compatibility in BB and CC products
· film uniformity
· package compatibility
Regulatory check
UV-filter rules differ by market. Confirm that the exact filter system is permitted for the intended market and follow applicable testing and labeling requirements.
Conclusion
Solaveil CZ-300 can simplify zinc oxide handling, but sunscreen development still depends on controlled dispersion, stable film formation, regulatory review and testing of the finished product.
