Protective ointment for colds and flu
In the cold season we want to take extra care of ourselves and our loved ones. An aromatic balm with essential oils makes a pleasant ritual: it is applied to the wrists, neck or the outside of the nostrils, and fresh pine and citrus notes feel invigorating and create a sense of clean air. This balm is a cosmetic product and does not replace vaccination, hygiene or your doctor's advice.
Scents for the cold season
The most popular choices for such balms are tea tree, eucalyptus, lemon, fir, rosemary and lavender essential oils. Their fresh scents are associated with cleanliness and help you tune in to an energetic day.
Balm recipe
Melt two teaspoons of beeswax and two tablespoons of shea butter in a water bath. Remove from the heat and add two tablespoons of carrier oil such as sweet almond. When the mixture has cooled slightly, add ten to fifteen drops of essential oils and pour the balm into small jars.
Keep a jar with you and apply a little balm whenever you want a fresh feeling. Always do a patch test before first use, and children or pregnant women should check with a doctor first.
