Delicious baked apples with cottage cheese
Who does not love dessert? Probably nobody on the planet. Yet many sweet lovers cannot have dessert every day because of the calories. For anyone watching their weight but craving something sweet, here is a simple treat: baked apples with cottage cheese. It is light, and both baked apples and cottage cheese are good for grown-ups and kids alike.
What you need
Get 1.5-2 tbsp of sour cream, 100 g of cottage cheese, 1.5 tbsp of sugar, 5-7 apples and 20 g of raisins.
How to make it
Press the cottage cheese through a sieve, add the sour cream, sugar and raisins and mix well. Wash the apples under running water and carefully cut out the cores. Remove all the tough membranes, as they stay hard even after baking and can spoil the dessert.
Fill each apple with about a tablespoon of the mixture. Pour a little water into an ovenproof dish or deep tray and stand the apples in it. Large silicone moulds are handy for baking.
Bake at 180 degrees for no more than half an hour. When the apples turn golden, take them out and let them cool completely.
Serving
Before serving, dust each apple with ground cinnamon. Your guests will be impressed. For even more aroma, try dessert flavourings, and read about flavouring chocolate for your sweet table in a separate article.
