We rejuvenate the skin of the hands at home
Did you know that hands often give away a woman's age? That is why beauty experts worldwide value hand care so highly, and it is about much more than a manicure. The skin on our hands faces water, temperature swings, frost and household cleaners every day, so it quickly loses its softness and fresh look.
Hands deserve as much attention as the face. Today we will make a special hand scrub at home that leaves the skin velvety, even toned and soft.
Ingredients
You need 5 g of unrefined tamanu oil, 17 g of unrefined rosehip oil, 10 g of cocoa butter, 10 g of emulsifying wax, 15 g of shea butter, 5 drops of frankincense oil, 10 drops of sweet orange essential oil, 7 drops of neroli oil, 1 g of subcritical calendula extract and 6 g of ground apricot kernels. Do not be put off by the list, the method is very simple.
Making the scrub
Melt the solid butters and wax in a water bath. Add the liquid oils, mix well, take it off the heat and let it cool a little. Then stir in the essential oils, calendula extract and ground apricot kernels.
Stirring constantly, pour the mix into small silicone moulds from our moulds range. Once set, you get single-use bars with the exfoliating side at the bottom, since the kernels settle evenly as the mix firms up.
Use the hand scrub a couple of times a week in the evening. It rinses off easily with warm water. For more ideas for glowing skin, see our DIY enzyme gel.
FAQ
How often should I use the scrub?
A couple of times a week, ideally in the evening.
Why do the kernels end up at the bottom?
They are heavier than the oil base and sink while the mix sets.
How do I rinse it off?
Warm water is enough.
